Hi, I'm Dr. Josie Ward! After several years practicing in Toronto and Richmond Hill, I've made my way back to the East Coast, and I couldn't be more excited to be here.
My path in chiropractic care started long before chiro school. I completed my undergraduate degree in PEI, then went on to complete a Master's degree at Western University focused on pelvic floor health in female athletes, before earning my Doctor of Chiropractic in Toronto.
During my undergrad, I gained four years of hands-on dairy farming experience. I got to milk cows, weigh chickens, drive tractors, and more — this taught me firsthand what physical labor can do to, and for, the body. It was actually my own experience with a disc herniation, and not knowing how to navigate that pain, that led me to the chiropractic field. That experience opened my eyes to everything this profession has to offer, and I've been passionate about advocating for both patients and the profession ever since.
Being an athlete has always been a part of my identity, growing up and even today. I used to be a part of a competitive jump rope team and basketball team up until going away to university, and now I've taken on the title of marathon runner. Outside the clinic, you'll find me in exercise classes or training for my next marathon. With Chicago, Vancouver, and Houston marathons under my belt (plus several half marathons!), I'm always looking forward to planning my next race.
Today, my focus is helping people move better, feel stronger, and stay confident in their bodies for the tasks of everyday life. I'm passionate about injury prevention and empowering my patients to move with confidence.

I believe great care starts with listening. Your first appointment is about an hour long, giving us the time to understand your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. We'll complete a thorough assessment of how your body moves, checking your biomechanics, range of motion, strength, and orthopaedic and neurological testing, so we can identify what's contributing to your symptoms.
From there, I'll explain your diagnosis and create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
I take an evidence-based, movement-focused approach that combines hands-on treatment with rehabilitation exercises and education. Rather than relying on adjustments alone, my goal is to help you understand your body, address the root cause of your symptoms, and build long term resilience.
Whether your goal is to return to sport, lift stronger, run without pain, or simply move more comfortably, I want you to leave each visit with a clear plan, practical tools, and the confidence to manage your symptoms beyond the clinic.
